Dexter Lake Club Band Drummer Performs with Miike Snow

Dexter Lake Club Band drummer performing with Miike Snow!

Big Congrats to our drummer Gunnar who is performing some shows with Miike Snow.

The Dexter Lake Club Band has shared the stage with tons of top artists and performers. Members of the band have recorded, performed, and toured with Bruce Springsteen, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Norah Jones, M. Ward, Hamilton Leithauser, Regina Spektor, the Walkmen and many more.  Our drummer Gunnar filled in on the last leg of the Miike Snow tour, and this one is definitely at the top of the list.  Congrats to our man Gunnar who rocks equally hard whether he is playing for a festival crowd, a wedding reception, or at home for his cat.

Here is some drum-cam video of the show at the Firefly Festival, performing Miike Snow’s “Heart of Me”.

Firefly Festival with Miike Snow. Pretty darn epic! #gunztv

Dexter Lake Club Band Interviewed in Whalebone Magazine

Whalebone Magazine Interview with the Dexter Lake Club Band

Hamptons Lifestyle Magazine

We were interviewed in the new issue of Whalebone Magazine, which is without question the Hampton’s coolest magazine.  We had a great time talking to them about our history, absurd things we’ve seen on the dance floors of the world and which songs are bulletproof late night. Here’s a bit from the article “These guys absolutely crushed the jams, leading 98% of the celebration’s attendees into war on the dance floor. We didn’t get a chance to catch up with them after the event for both obvious and not-so-obvious reasons, but we’re glad we followed up.”  You can read the whole interview here:

We also had a great time rocking Whalebone’s one-year anniversary party at the Montauk Yacht Club one of the most beautiful venues on the East End of Long Island.

This clip from the party speaks for itself:
