Vanilla Ice with the Dexter Lake Club Band at the Marquee in NYC.
Last weekend we were the Opening Act for rapper Vanilla Ice. #bucket list #iceicebaby #stopcollaborateandlisten
We had a blast playing for an amazing crowd at the Marquee Club in New York City. Its not every party we get to share the stage with Vanilla Ice. Everyone was ready to party and the crowd was dancing all night.
Dexter Lake Club Band Gig at the Marquee Club NYC
It was an Australian themed party so yes that is a giant Koala Bear on the dance floor.
Photographer Casey Fatchett, twenty years on the job and veteran of over 500 weddings, recently interviewed the Dexter Lake Club Band for his latest wedding blog: Wedding Vendors I Love.
Casey’s blog goes way beyond wedding photography and tackles everything from tips for hiring vendors, planning your New York City Wedding, to beating the heat in summer.
He calls the newest section of his blog “Vendors I Love” and the Dexter Lake Club Band is honored to be the first vendor on his list. We first met Casey at a wedding we did at 26 Bridge in the D.U.M.B.O. section of Brooklyn, NY. Below is one of Casey’s photos from that wedding we recently posted on our instagram feed.

So proud of our drummer Gunnar who is featured on the latest recording by Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus just recorded a cover of Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” and “The Bitch is Back” and our drummer Gunnar is playing on both tracks!
Miley Cyrus put out two new tracks of music by Elton John and our drummer is on both of them! Members of The Dexter Lake Club Band have performed and recorded with artists including Bruce Springsteen, Norah Jones, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Miike Snow, Todd Rundgren, The Cars, M. Dexter Lake Club Band drummer performing with Miike Snow!
Big Congrats to our drummer Gunnar who is performing some shows with Miike Snow.

Members of the band have recorded, performed, and toured with Bruce Springsteen, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Norah Jones, M. Ward, Hamilton Leithauser, Regina Spektor, the Walkmen and many more. Our drummer Gunnar filled in on the last leg of the Miike Snow tour, and this one is definitely at the top of the list. Whalebone Magazine Interview with the Dexter Lake Club Band
Hamptons Lifestyle Magazine
We were interviewed in the new issue of Whalebone Magazine, which is without question the Hampton’s coolest magazine. We had a great time talking to them about our history, absurd things we’ve seen on the dance floors of the world and which songs are bulletproof late night. Here’s a bit from the article “These guys absolutely crushed the jams, leading 98% of the celebration’s attendees into war on the dance floor. We didn’t get a chance to catch up with them after the event for both obvious and not-so-obvious reasons, but we’re glad we followed up.” You can read the whole interview here: http://whalebonemag.com/dexter-lake-club-qa/
We also had a great time rocking Whalebone’s one-year anniversary party at the Montauk Yacht Club one of the most beautiful venues on the East End of Long Island.
Hamiton Leithauser and Rostam have a fantastic new record out, I Had A Dream That You Were Mine. Songs from that record have been featured at the Super Bowl and in the commercial for the new iPhone 7 .
We were back in the studio with Hamilton Leithauser this week.
Dexter Lake Club Band’s lead singer and sax player Tim was laying down saxophone tracks for Hamilton’s upcoming solo release. Hamilton is the front man and lead singer of The Walkmen. Hamilton’s new solo record is due out this year.
Tim is also featured on Hamilton Leithauser’s Live vinyl recording of “Rough Going”. Hamilton is currently touring his collaboration with Rostam of Vampire Weekend “I Had A Dream that You Were Mine”. Hamilton’s performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg was filmed as part of the recording. Dexter Lake Club Band’s sax player Tim has a ripping solo at the end of the tune. Check out the official video here.
