We were honored when we got the call to play music for the wedding of actress Amanda Peet and David Benioff (Game of Thrones, X-men, Troy). We were all touring with the indie-band the French Kicks at the time when we started playing wedding gigs as The Dexter Lake Club Band and Amanda had met us at some of those shows. We had an absolute blast playing for Amanda and David and their guests. Naturally, David asked us to learn Boston’s Amanda. When The New York Times got in touch with Amanda to ask her about The Dexter Lake Club Band she told them, “I am an old lady and I was pregnant, and I still danced up a storm.”
