Based out of Montauk on the East End of Long Island Whalebone Magazine is the hipsters lifestyle magazine of the Hamptons. The Dexter Lake Club Band recently sat down for an interview with the Hamptons’ coolest periodical, Whalebone Magazine, and this feature article was the result. Some of the topics covered in the interview were: how The Dexter Lake Club Band got started, some of our weirdest and best music requests, stories wild parties we’ve played at, and a variety of other party and rock-music-related topics. Whalebone Magazine calls The Dexter Lake Club Band, “New York’s legendary cover band.”

The Dexter Lake Club Band was hired to play Whalebone Magazine’s one-year anniversary party! The Yacht Club Time Machine Party was held at the Montauk Yacht Club. Much fun was had by all. The rosé and Montauk brewing company beers were flowing well into the wee hours, prompting this question from the interview:

“Your performance was inarguably the driving force behind much of the night’s debauchery. Were there any moments, maybe dance floor observations from the party that made you guys step back and question if things were still within the confines of the law?” click here to read out answers.
