Dexter Lake Club Band’s bass player performs with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the National.

The Dexter Lake Club Band combined forces with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for a gig at Joe’s Pub in New York City.

The Dexter Lake Club Band’s bass player and co-band leader, Jamie, recently shared the stage with Karen O. and Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at New York City’s Joe’s Pub. The show was in support of the latest recording from Walter Martin of The Walkmen.  Walter has a great new record out called We’re All Young Together . The record features Karen and Nick from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, members of The National, The Walkmen, Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah, and the Dexter Lake Club Band’s very own bassist Jamie Krents. The Track Sing to Me, which Jamie plays bass on features a vocal by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Walter’s album has already generated a lot of buzz and two of the tracks have been featured in commercial spots for Apple’s iphone and Google.
